Each summer in Cortez, CO, the Cortez Cultural Center (http://www.cortezculturalcenter.org) hosts a variety of NativeAmericans dances for area visitors.
The program runs Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Dances start at 7:30 p.m. all days but Sunday, and last an hour. The programs are free of charge for visitors, and are held rain or shine.
Any Native American dance groups (5 or more) within a 50 mile radius of Cortez that are interested in performing, should contact Jan van Romburgh (Dance Coordinator) at 970-564-1363. Email: admin@culturalcenter.info (Payment nightly with an incentive cash bonus at the end of the season!) Auditions willbe held on Saturday May 3 from 10 a.m. at the Cortez Cultural Center.
