Hand Painted Feathers by Jeff Yellowhair, Kiowa

Jeff individually paints each macaw feather with Native American Indian and Native American Church art. He does not use stencils or patterns; although the subject matter may be similar - no two feathers are ever identical. He also does the decorative flora feather and leather work on each one, making each feather a unique original piece of art. These feathers can be hung from the rear view mirror of your vehicle, tied in one's hair or from regalia. They are also very nice matted and framed.

NAC Hand Painted Macaw Feather SOLD This macaw tail feather is hand painted by Jeff Yellowhair, Kiowa/Apache. It features a crescent moon on the top right, a staff, gourd, sage bundle, water drum and a scissortail flycatcher. It is accented with decorative feathers at the top in blue and white. The feather is dark red on each side with blue down the center and on the tip on the front and red on the back. The quill is wrapped with 2 inches of white buckskin; there are two 5 1/2 inch fringes that could be used for tying. Excluding the quill, it measures 10 inches long and is 1 3/4 inches wide. These feathers can be hung from the rear view mirror of your vehicle, tied in one's hair or from regalia. They are also very nice matted and framed for your wall. Firedancer #1 Painted Macaw Tail Feather

SOLD This macaw tail feather painted by Jeff Yellowhair, Kiowa/Apache features an Apache Fire or Crown Dancer. It is accented with decorative feathers at the top in orange, which has been trimmed into a geometric shape and red with a Lady Amherst tippet feather. Dark blue on the front and red on the back side. The quill is wrapped with 2 1/4 inches of white buckskin; the 5 1/2 inch fringes that could be used for tying are also white buckskin. Excluding the quill, it measures 9 1/4 inches long and is approx. 1 1/2 inches wide. These feathers can be hung from the rear view mirror of your vehicle, tied in one's hair or from regalia. Waterbird & Medicine Painted Feather

SOLD This macaw feather painted by Jeff Yellowhair, Kiowa/Apache features a gourd, sage bundle and 4 buttons on one side, a staff in the center with a colorful waterbird on the other side. It is accented with decorative feathers at the top in orange and white. The quill is wrapped with 2 inches of white buckskin; there are two 6 inch white buckskin fringes that could be used for tying. The feather is red at the top and graduates to blue with a unique pink coloration beginning where the waterbird and gourd handle meet. Excluding the quill, it measures 8 inches long and is approx. 1 1/2 inches wide at the top and 1 3/4 inches wide at it's widest point.
